Teacher assistant
The Teacher Assistant has been developed to support the teacher in teaching. The program helps you go through the different steps in the lesson. Various modules and tools give the teacher the opportunity to implement the teaching material in different didactic methods.

The Teacher Assistant makes instruction more efficient, interactive and fun. This increases the quality of the instruction. In addition, the program is designed in such a way that it can be used for different learning methods. For the user, this means a better user experience across the lessons. For Zwijsen, this is an important improvement in the maintainability of the software.

Develop challenges
Specific requirements were set for our application. The software not only had to be fully compatible with the major browsers, but in addition to digital boards, it also had to function well on both desktops and tablets. In addition, the inclusion of a drawing tool was an important condition, so that teachers have the opportunity to take notes directly on the digital whiteboard. The complexity of properly scaling and storing annotations across layers posed a particular challenge.
Scrum process
A streamlined scrum process with three-week sprints was used during the development process. During Three Amigo sessions, a product owner, a developer and a designer came together to discuss future features, which led to new backlog items with clear acceptance criteria. Refinement sessions were used to then comprehensively review and select these items for inclusion in the next sprint.

Stakeholder feedback
What made this project unique were special meetings with key stakeholders such as publishers and teachers. During these meetings, the software was tested live on digital boards, where teachers could test the application themselves. This process provided the team with important, practical feedback. The new insights were carefully documented and converted into new backlog items, which were further developed in later sprints.
